Hello Everyone
2011 was a very exciting year for DYP. It saw our partnership with The Old Town Hall Theatre get off to a great start with a project during February Half Term. This was also the venue for our premier showing of Billy Elliot as part of the nationwide Billy Youth programme. We then took Billy on to the Court Theatre in Tring where we achieved sell out audiences. We then ran four weeks of projects over the summer holidays.
So what's new for 2012?
We are planning our next musical event - auditions for which will take place in the summer, ready for a performance in February 2012. We will post information here as it becomes available, but in the meantime if you would like to be added to our contact list, please fill in a registration form online using the link below.
So what is our next project?
Mon 13th – Fri 17th February:
Come and get hands on and explore all areas of production. For young people interested in performing, operating the lights and sound, designing costume and props and painting the set. Join us for the week to explore the fantastic tales of Roald Dahl and create a production to show family and friends at the end of the week.
Hobletts Manor Junior School, Hemel Hempstead
10am – 3pm (Mon-Thurs) 10am – 4pm (Fri), Family and friends welcome to join us at 3pm for a short performance.
Suitable for children aged 7+

We are also delighted to continue our peerleadership programme for young people aged 14+:
DYP runs a peer leadership programme for young people interested in gaining production and workshop facilitation skills. During the week working alongside Joley and Liz, you will have the opportunity to direct groups, lead drama games and exercises and support set, prop and costume design.
9.45am – 3pm (Mon- Thurs). 9.45 – 4pm Friday
Cost £30. Four spaces available
